You are looking at a, seemingly, great condition Tektronix 491 RF Spectrum Analyzer that is good for 10MHz - to - 12.4GHz RF.

Watch the video. Its cool seeing the BLUE CRT on this thing run. Note that the camera makes it look like there is green, but in real life its all blue. Thats just an effect of the digital camera. 

We are completely un-educated on things like this piece of test equipment. Because of that, the best we could do was power it on and make sure a trace shows up and the lights turn on. Oh, and no magic smoke comes out. Thats also important.

Since we can't test the actual functionality, calibration or accuracy of this unit, we are not allowing returns for any reason what so ever. Its totally up to you to determine if this is something you want or need. Please ask questions before bidding or buying now.

ITEM CONDITION:

-Considering its age, this is a really clean example of a Tektronix 491 RF Spectrum Analyzer. You won't likely come across one like this again.

-The carry handle seems to be in great functional condition.

-The unit has scratching, scuffing, small dents and dings, and paint chips consistent with its age, usage and transportation.

-Its missing the original power cord, but we made one for it. (Its included)

-The unit was tested to power on only. Thats how its being sold. Power on only. You should just assume none of the other functions work or work like they are suppose to. We can't test, we don't know how.

-This is a surplus item from a local Tek, HP and HAM collector and repair man.

-No function beyond powering on is guaranteed on this unit. No calibration, no accuracy and nothing else is promised or guaranteed. Please be sure this is the unit for you.

We do have the original TEK cart this came on, but if you want it, that will be an additional $50 bucks and about an extra $200 shipping fee. Because of the way ebay handles payment now, we can NOT bill you for the extra money, we will need to list it and have you buy it as a separate item. Local pick up ebayers can have the cart at no extra charge and no extra shipping fee. Let us know sooner rather than later, we won't hold on to the cart forever.

SHIPPING NOTES, METHOD AND SPEED BEING OFFERED (and optional local pickup):

-This item will ship out VIA FedEx Ground.

NOTE 1: FedEx does NOT ship to Puerto Rico or Guam! We have called them to ask why, and all they will tell us is that they "don't" and won't expand on that answer. So if you live in Puerto Rico or Guam, this item will need to be shipped USPS. This means, even if the shipping is stated to be free, you may still need to pay shipping costs. Alaska and Hawaii may need to also pay extra shipping fees as well. FREE SHIPPING is ALWAYS restricted to the contiguous United States in our listings.

NOTE 2: If your item is over a certain dollar amount, we will send the package with FedEx "Direct Signature Required". This means that you MUST be home to sign for the package. Or choose an address (at time of check out) that you know someone will be there to sign for.

NOTE 3: ADDRESS CHANGES AND PACKAGE REROUTING:

A: We can not reroute the package to a different address for you! You MUST ensure the address you want the item shipping to, is the one you use on ebay check out at time of purchase. FedEx charges fees and fines for reroutes and undeliverable packages. If you fail to sign for your package and it is returned to us, you will be liable for all fees, fines, the original shipping fee, the return shipping fee (yes, FedEx charges to return a package to sender) and the second shipping fee for the reship.

DO NOT purchase an item from us and then immediately message us and say "I entered the wrong address, can you change/reroute the address/shipment?". We will not do it. We may cancel your order if we suspect fraud, as this is a common way to commit fraud on ebay. B: Per PayPal and ebay policy we are REQUIRED to ship to the address you had on ebay when you purchased the item from us. We will not ship to alternate addresses after purchase, we will not re-route your package. It must ship to the address you selected on your ebay check out at time of payment or purchase.

NOTE 4: If you select local pickup, you MUST come pick up your item within 3 days of winning the auction. You can contact us for extenuating circumstances, however deviation from our policy is at our discretion. If you fail to retrieve your item with in three days, we reserve the right to relist it, sell it or discard it. We aren't a storage warehouse and will not hold your item for free forever. HOWEVER, you may use this option if you are arranging your own shipping or freight carrier. But the time limit still applys.
