We can not refund any order value or shipping fees for late or delayed shipments for any reason, including weather, COVID delays or carrier adjusted arrival dates.

Shipping and Returns

Please read our shipping and return information carefully. Please note that COVID-19 has impacted every industry and we are all doing our best to get you what you need as soon as possible.

1. Shipping Information

Processing Time:
Generally orders, other than "Express" (see below), placed before 1PM Pacific Time Zone will ship on the same business day. Orders received after 2PM or on the weekend(s)/holidays will usually ship on the next business day. Some orders may take longer to ship on Mondays and Fridays due to order volume.

Special Instructions:
If you have specific delivery instructions, please write them in the notes field of your order when checking out. We will do our best to make sure they are followed or given to the delivery driver.

Shipping Rates:
Shipping rates are displayed in the shopping cart. Please enter your "Shipping Country", "Shipping State" and "Zip-code" and press the "GET SHIPPING OPTIONS" button for shipping costs. Shipping Rates are calculated in real-time and may change from day to day depending on carrier updates. Your shipping cost quoted when placing your order should remain the same. If shipping ends up costing more that originally estimated, we will contact you.

Tracking Numbers:
If your order shipped by FedEx, or USPS Priority Mail, you will be emailed a tracking number automatically. Please wait until after 8PM on the day you receive the "Order Status: Shipped" email from us.

Freight Forwarders: We do not ship to freight forwarders. If you place an order that’s shipping to a freight forwarder or other mail transferring or international mail/shipment service, we will cancel your order. If you truly do need to use a freight forwarder, you MUST contact us BEFORE you place your order and give us a really good, verifiable, reason and then we will consider giving you written approval, after which you can place your order.

2. Shipping Methods

Vetco offers INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING via USPS Priority Mail International and FedEx International. [See Below for more information and Duty Fee information].

USPS Priority Mail:
Available for small orders only (Less than 1/2lb). We offer USPS Priority mail flat rate envelope shipping as a low-cost shipping option on small orders for our customers. We utilize the Priority Mail Flat-Rate Padded Envelope. For faster service, we highly recommend choosing the FedEx Flat Rate.

Priority Mail orders include insurance up to a maximum of $50. If the value of your order exceeds $50, please consider shipping via FedEx and instruct us that you would like to pay for additional insurance.

Orders that ship via Priority Mail may be delayed up to 1 business day depending on our USPS mail carrier pickup schedule. They may also be delayed longer due to holidays.

Priority Mail delivery times are between 2 and 5 business days for most parts of the country.

Orders weighing more than 1/2 lb. must ship via FedEx.

FedEx Express and Ground:

We can ship on your FedEx account, but there is a $10 fee for doing so and you must instruct us to do so, every time.

FedEx can NOT be delivered to a P.O. Box/Post Office Box. If you use a PO Box address and select any type of FedEx shipping, we will switch your order to USPS and charge any additional fees automatically. FedEx charges an additional $32 dollar fine, on top of the already paid shipping fee, for attempting to ship to a PO Box and they will not deliver it either. If this happens, you will be charged that fine on top of what ever shipping fee you were originally charged.
Our default and fastest shipping method is "FedEx Flat Rate" which does not come with any guaranteed delivery times and only applies to what will fit in that packaging type. This shipping method usually takes 2 to 3 days to be delivered, excluding holidays, weekends, weather or other impacts. If you want faster or "mostly guaranteed" delivery times/dates, you must select one of the express options below.

-For FedEx Express: Includes "Express Saver" (about 3 days), "2 Day AM" (2 days and delivered earlier in the day), "Standard Overnight" (next day air), "Priority Overnight", and "First Over Night". Orders must be placed by 11AM Pacific Time to ship the same day. You can always call us to see if we can get the order out same day. But you must call. Otherwise the order will ship out the next business day. Excluding holidays, weekends, weather or other impacts. Vetco can not refund any part of shipping fees for weather related or disaster related delays. FedEx will also not issue refunds or discounts under those circumstances either. Lost packages must be handled through the FedEx claim system.

-For FedEx Ground: Includes "FedEx Ground". Orders placed before 1PM Pacific Time Zone should ship on the next business day. Orders received after 2PM or on the weekend(s)/holidays will usually ship on the next or third business day. Some orders may take longer to ship on Mondays and Fridays due to order volume. This is all dependent on the FedEx Ground driver pick up time and availability. If you need your order quickly, you should order FedEx Express or FedEx Flat Rate. If you have any shipping concerns, you should contact us.

We no longer offer UPS shipping. However, we *may* be able to ship on your UPS account, only if the order is being dropshipped directly to you from one of our other warehouses or manufacturers. There will be a $5 dollar fee for using your account in most of these cases. Contact us for questions.


In-Store Pickup / Will Call:
Local pickups from our retail store in Bellevue, Washington State are also available; Please choose the "Local Pickup" option when choosing your shipping method. There is no fee for local pickup. Please note: Your will be notified by email when your order is ready to be picked up - Your order will not be ready for pick up until you receive this notification! Orders for Local Pickup are processed Monday-Friday during regular business hours only.

APO / FPO / Military Mail:
We will make every effort to accommodate your shipping needs. Please contact us to arrange shipping for APO/FPO addresses.

International Shipping:
Vetco now ships to over 30 countries using USPS Priority Mail International Flat-Rate. This is an "Air Mail" service that will arrive in 6 to 10 business days for *MOST* countries, however delivery times of up to a month or more are not uncommon.

Delivery times will vary according to the destination and the speed of your country's postal system. We provide a tracking number. Once your package leaves the United States, we can no longer help you with tracking updates. It will be up to you and your countries postal system. We have no insight into or control over packages that have left the U.S.

Due to airmail restrictions, we are unable to ship most chemicals (liquids and aerosols). We will remove these items from your order if they cannot be shipped through the mail.

Vetco is not responsible for any duties or customs fees imposed when your items arrive. Vetco must declare the contents and item values on the customs form. We are a business and we cannot mark your package as a "gift". It is your responsibility to verify your countries duty fee amount and Vetco can not pre-pay duties for you. This includes all shipping methods.

PLEASE NOTE: These international shipments are NOT INSURED against loss or damage. If your package fails to arrive or arrives damaged, Vetco will NOT issue a replacement or refund.

Undeliverable and Returned Packages: We ship your order to the address specified by you during the checkout process. - Packages returned to us as undeliverable are not eligible to have shipping charges refunded and additional shipping charges are required to re-ship your order. In most cases, if your package is returned to us, there is a $16 dollar return fee that we were already charged by the carrier. You are liable for this fee. If you cancel your order instead of requesting that it is re-shipped, the fee will be deducted from the refund. An additional 10% processing and handling fee may be assessed on undeliverable packages.

3. Backorders

Please Note:
We make no 'In-Stock' Guarantees when you place your order. If you need to check availability of a specific item, please contact us before your place your order.

Although it is a rare occurrence, Vetco will occasionally have no stock on an item that you order. If this happens, your order will be placed in 'backorder' status, and we will attempt to fill it as soon as possible. Most backorders are filled in 15-30 days. COVID-19 has extended some of these delays. We will notify you of extended back orders.

In the event that an item is out of stock, we will attempt to contact you via email or telephone and inform you of the situation. If we are unable to contact you, or we do not get a response from you, it will be assumed that the order is still valid and it will be held in 'backorder' status until it can be completely filled and shipped. We generally only charge your credit card once the order has been completely filled and is prepared to ship, unless your order is a large order or a special order item(s).

Partial Shipments:
Vetco can ship the in-stock portion of your order immediately if you choose. Shipment fees will be assessed separately with each partial order shipment.

4. Returns

Return Policy for Online Orders:
All items sold from include a 30 day warranty. Returns for non-defective, un-opened items are accepted within 30 days of shipping for a 15% restocking fee (waivable at managers discretion). Items must be returned in the condition they were sold to you in. Sorry, opened, unwrapped or unraveled cables and cut bulk wire (wire and products sold by the foot) are non-returnable, no exceptions. Most PC parts including power supplies, laptop power supplies and SATA to USB readers are non-returnable. Raspberry Pi's and other micro-controllers are also un-returnable once opened. If the 30-day return window has passed, you can not return your item. In store purchases and phone-hold orders MUST have receipt for return. Returns without receipt will not be accepted.

How to Return an Item:
To make arrangements to return a product, please email for instructions and to receive an RMA number. Returns without an RMA number will not be accepted and shipped back to you at your expense. Shipping charges are non-refundable, and you are responsible for any return shipping charges on non-defective items.

Refunds are processed within one business day of receiving your returned items. Refunds are issued using the same payment method that was used to pay for your order. If you paid with a credit card, your refunded credit will usually appear within 7-10 business days, or on your next billing statement. If you paid with PayPal, your refunded credit will appear the same business day that we process your return. Orders paid by check or money order will be refunded by a company check sent by first class mail - your refund check will arrive within 7-10 business days.

5. Lost Packages

FedEx Shipments -- FedEx has a claims processing system. Its not super quick. We can not cross-ship you a new item for free. FedEx has never lost a package for us yet. The delivery driver may hide the package in an "interesting" location for safety. Please carefully search your front porch/gate/driveway for the package. Its always there in our experience so far. We can not refund your order for "Act of God" situations. FedEx is the most reliable service we have and have a 100% success rate with them so far.

We will work VERY HARD to take care of you and your orders. Please contact us if you have any issues.

USPS Shipments -- Unfortunately, the post office does not give us speedy results. If a package is lost, delayed, damaged, etc., then Vetco does not accept any responsibility. We are only able to make claims after the package has already been lost for 15 days, and no later than 60 days, and are happy to do so. Claims are very rarely won. Please be aware that packages returned to us for ANY reason will require a second shipping payment. USPS tends to have a larger "unable to deliver to address" problem, and we highly advise customers choose another option (e.g. FedEx).

International USPS Shipments -- Packages can take up-to 6 weeks to be delivered. We have zero control over your country’s customs, and how long they decide to hold a package. As for Tracking information, you will always get a "delivered confirmation", when it arrives, but often, there aren't good updates throughout the process, especially once the package leaves the U.S.. Please be patient. International shipping takes a VERY long time sometimes.
