Product Description

If you've ever seen an 8x8 LED matrix display and wanted to use one or more in your next project, but didn't want to design the driver circuitry for one yourself, this board is for you. It consists of an 8x8 red LED matrix display, and a Maxim MAX7219 LED matrix driver chip on board, wired up to the display, with input and output headers broken out. The chip can be controlled over serial from your Arduino with a premade library, and you can even control more than one from the same Arduino board by using the header pins to daisy-chain multiple of these boards.

This item also includes the five jumper wires you need to connect the header pins on the display to your Arduino or other microcontroller of your choice.

See this page for details and links for code and other details on how to use this board with Arduino.
