Hall-Effect Sensor Module – Easy Magnetic Sensing for Arduino & DIY Projects

Simple Magnetic Field Detection with Hall-Effect Sensor Technology

Experience hassle-free magnetic sensing with this Hall-Effect Sensor Module, perfect for beginners and electronics hobbyists. Featuring the reliable Allegro A3144EUA digital Hall sensor, this module lets you easily detect the presence of a magnetic field, making it ideal for building magnetic switches, proximity sensors, security systems, and more.

How Does the Hall-Effect Sensor Module Work?

This module uses the Allegro MicroSystems A3144EUA unipolar Hall-Effect sensor. When a magnet approaches the sensor and the magnetic field strength exceeds the threshold (35-450 Gauss), the output transistor switches on, pulling the output pin low. The onboard LED indicator lights up instantly, providing visible feedback that a magnetic field is present.

  • Open-collector digital output for flexible interfacing
  • Fast response time for quick magnetic detection
  • Threshold sensitivity: 35-450 Gauss
  • Minimum hysteresis: 20 Gauss

Features & Benefits

  • Simple 3-wire hookup: Signal, V+, and GND
  • Wide operating voltage: 4.5V to 24V for compatibility with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and other microcontrollers
  • Compact TO-92 package for easy breadboarding or direct panel-mounting
  • Clear LED indicator shows when a magnet is detected
  • Perfect as a magnetic proximity sensor, contactless switch, or DIY project input

Applications

  • Arduino and Raspberry Pi projects
  • DIY security and alarm systems
  • Magnetic switches for doors or cabinets
