LED Flashing Spinning Top DIY Solder Kit

Looking for a simple soldering kit to build for fun, or to help teach someone electrical engineering and soldering skills?
This is a perfect kit for that. Once built, it has four LEDs (Red, Green, Yellow, Blue) that flash when spun. It creates a very cool effect.
This makes a GREAT Christmas gift, or birthday gift too!
Best used on a level surface. Make sure you spin the top in the direction that the arrows signify.
Watch the video above to see the effect (it’s hard to properly capture on camera, it looks cooler in person).
Assembly notes:
-This is a fairly easy kit to assemble. It took me about 5 minutes to solder together. It should take a novice about 30 minutes to complete. But the results are great. And gives hours of fun and an awesome light show.
-What I learned from assembling one of these as a display for our store is that there are four LEDs. Each is a different color. And you MUST put them in the proper spot, or this device will not work.
-The proper order (from left to right, when the LEDs are on the right side of the board) is Blue, Yellow, Green, Red. The longer lead on the LEDs is the positive side.
-Also pay extra special attention to the resistors. There are 1M ohm and 1k ohm resistors. They also go in very specific spots (marked on the PCB). But you need to pay close attention. If you get them wrong, your LEDs won't light up. And it won't be easy to fix.
-In general, you should pay close attention to the silk screen on the board, and ensure you put all the components in the correct spot and insert them in the correct direction.
-Resistors are NOT directional, nor are ceramic capacitors.
-The centrifugal spring switch (the thing in the clear box) MUST be soldered to te board in a specific direction. See our images of our fully assembled one.
Quantity per pack: 1 kit (includes two CR2032 batteries)
