NOTE: The mounting hole should be drilled large enough that the barbs/tabs are depressed when inserted, but not so depressed that they press entirely against the entire length of the side wall of the switch. If the hole is drilled small enough to do that, then the hole was drilled too small for the switch diameter, and is putting “excessive and out of spec” pressure on the exterior of the switch housing. The mounting hole should be at least 20.00mm (0.79 inches) round/diameter, minimum. Any hole smaller than this is out of spec for this switch and is not supported. And is an abnormal operating enviroment that may cause the switch to malfunction.
