Thermal Fuse 192°C – VET8182 Axial Lead Thermal Cutoff (15A)

Reliable Thermal Protection for Everyday Appliances

Looking for a simple, effective way to protect your home electronics or appliances from overheating? The VET8182 thermal fuse provides trusted, non-resettable protection for hundreds of everyday uses. Whether you’re fixing a coffee maker, hair dryer, battery charger, or even a fan, this 192°C thermal cutoff is an easy, affordable solution to prevent electrical fires and damage.

Key Features of the VET8182 Thermal Fuse

  • Opening Temperature: 192°C (378°F)
  • Maximum Current Rating: 15 Amps
  • Axial lead design: Easy to install for DIY repairs
  • Non-resettable thermal cutoff – one-time use for ultimate safety
  • UL and CSA certified for safety and compliance
  • 18 gauge solid copper wire with full 1 1/3" leads
  • Low resistance, just like standard 18 gauge copper wire

How the 192°C Thermal Fuse Works

The VET8182 thermal fuse (previously known as NTE8182) is designed to cut off power when the temperature exceeds its rated limit. It uses an internal organic pellet that reacts to excessive heat, permanently opening the circuit. Once tripped, the fuse must be replaced for continued protection.

These thermal cutoffs are ideal for appliances such as:

  • Coffee makers, toasters, irons, and hot plates
  • Hair dryers, glue guns, and popcorn poppers
  • Refrigerators, microwaves, and dishwashers
  • UPS units, electric motors, window fans, and more

From Vetco Electronics Semiconductors

Vetco Electronics Semiconductors now supplies this trusted design as the VET8182 (equivalent to the former NTE8182). While NTE exited the business, we worked directly with the original manufacturer to ensure you still get a high-quality, exact-replacement thermal fuse.

Simple Installation and Dependable Safety

With a compact axial lead design and robust wiring, these fuses make DIY replacements and small appliance repair straightforward—even for beginners. Detailed specs and Certificates of Conformity are available on request. We’re here to help you choose the right fuse for your project!

NOTICE 1: As you may or may not already know. NTE is officially out of business and we are unable to order parts from them ever again.

However, we were able to locate the company that NTE used to make these Thermal Cutoffs (All NTE did was relabel product and resell it). This means that you may order the NTE part, but we may ship different part numbers that are the original parts that match the NTE specifications. Certificates Of Conformity are available from us, upon request.

NOTICE 2: These no longer come with the un-insulated crimp butt connectors that NTE used to include with them. If you need them, we recommend either ordering SR-BUT-2N. If you have a special need for them, you can always email us for more information and we are always here to help.
