How the VET8139 Thermal Cutoff Works

When the environmental or operating temperature surpasses 141°C (286°F), the internal pellet inside the fuse melts. This action triggers the spring contacts to permanently open, cutting off power and helping to prevent dangerous overheating.

• Temperature sensitive—do not store above +48°C (+120°F)
• Color banding does not indicate temperature group
• Fuse resistance equals that of an 18 gauge copper wire segment
• Continuous operation should be at least 30°C below the fuse’s maximum opening temperature
