The Mini Mega 2560 Pro delivers the capabilities of a standard Mega 2560 R3 development board in a compact, breadboard-friendly size. Measuring only 38 x 55 mm (1.50 x 2.17 inches), it is a practical choice for permanent prototypes, custom controllers, and embedded projects where a full-size board takes up too much room.
At its center is the ATmega2560-16AU microcontroller running at 16 MHz. The compact layout makes it easy to test a project on a breadboard and then solder the board into the finished device.
USB Type-C Mega 2560 Programming and Power
A convenient USB Type-C connector provides both programming access and board power. The onboard CH340G USB-to-UART interface handles communication with your computer. A compatible CH340G driver must be installed before USB programming and serial communication can be used.
The board can also be powered through its dedicated power pins, giving you flexibility when installing it inside an enclosure or connecting it to a separate power supply.
Mini Mega 2560 Pro Development Board Compatibility
This compact Mega 2560 board is software compatible with the Mega 2560 platform and follows the standard Mega 2560 R3 shield pin mapping. Existing programs designed for that platform can be used without rewriting a project for a different microcontroller.
Its compact physical layout is designed for embedded installation rather than direct attachment of full-size shields. Connections can be made through headers, jumper wires, a breadboard, or a custom circuit board.
Regulated Power for Compact Microcontroller Projects
The onboard LDO voltage regulator accepts a recommended 6V to 9V DC input, with an 18V peak rating. It supplies regulated 5V and 3.3V outputs at approximately 800mA each under suitable operating conditions.
Available output current decreases as the input voltage rises because the regulator must dissipate more heat. For easier thermal management and better available current, use a power source within the recommended 6V to 9V range.
