There are three adjustable settings that include - variable, off, and full with the three adjustable speeds of low, medium, and high. Simply use the dial to increase or decrease fan motor speed depending on your needs. For use with brush type motors only. Will not work with brushless type motor or soft/slow start motors. For AC motors ONLY.
May not properly dim some types of light. LED and some CFL's may flicker or not dim properly.
