S-Video Female - to - Male RCA Composite Adapter

This adapter adapts an S-Video signal to a Composite Video (Yellow RCA) signal. It has the following configuration:

• S-Video Female
• RCA Male

NOTE: Your image/video will always be black and white when using this adapter. Read on if you would like to know why.

S-Video uses separate wires for the color info (Chrominance) and brightness (Luminance) data signal, sometimes called Y/C.
Composite video (yellow plug) sends all that info down one wire and is incapable of decoding that s-video Y/C information.
Hence an Integrated Circuit is usually required to convert from s-video to Cvbs. And thats why your image ends up in black and white with these simple adapters.
