CAT-5 / RJ-45 Cable Boots serve 3 purposes:

• Color Coded Cable Identification
• RJ-45 Connector Strain Relief
• Cable "Snag" Prevention

These cable boots slip over the CAT-5e cable before crimping the RJ-45 connector onto the end. They are perfect for protecting and color-coding your custom crimped CAT-5e cables. In addition, cable boots prevent the CAT-5 cable from bending too sharp at the connector - preventing shorts and damage. The opening on the back of the boot is 6.5mm.
