This device converts digital optical (toslink) or digital coaxial (SPDIF) audio to stereo left and right analog audio. This device is a must have if you have a modern Blue Ray player, Apple TV, or other device that has digital audio output only, and an older home theater receiver or television without digital audio inputs.
