This power strip is quite unique in that it will turn on 4 "slave" outlets (marked in black) when the main "master" outlet (marked in red) detects it is being used. This allows you to connect your TV or PC to the master outlet, and your LCD or Blueray player to the slave outlets. When you turn your TV or PC on, it automatically activates the slave outlets.
The benefit here is in preventing the slave devices from leeching power when the devices are not in use.
If used properly, the savings can really add up!
The strip also has three more AC adapter spaced "always on" outlets.
